** COMMUNITY CENTRE CLOSURE**
STATEMENT FROM PORINGLAND PARISH COUNCIL
As a direct result of the Covid-19 crisis, Poringland Parish Council has taken the decision to close its community buildings to the public as of close of business on 19th March, until such time when we receive clear guidance that these buildings are safe to be publicly accessible again. This directly affects the community centre and the football pavilion. We have taken this decision for the protection of members of the public, as well as all Parish Council staff and councillors. We are in the process of contacting all hirers and would ask that understanding is shown towards our staff in these truly exceptional circumstances.
Queries about bookings can be made to our community centre manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 07770351794.
Queries about the Parish Council’s decision to close the buildings, or the future operation of the Parish Council, should be made to the Clerk at email@example.com or 01508 492182.
The Parish Council is heartened to see the community spirit being shown at this time. There is likely to be an announcement very shortly about how the community will be co-ordinated to protect those most vulnerable. The Parish Council has already committed to make resources available to this project, as and when they are required.
We ask all our parishioners to be sensible, care for others and stay safe at this difficult time

*Whilst we very, very much hope this event will be able to take place, obviously we will be dependent on the social distancing laws in place at the time
