Stay Calm Mumma & Me is run by qualified Nurse (and mother!) Emma, who offers a great range of classes to suit all ages of development.
MONDAY - 11:45am - 12:45pm
ACTIVE BABY YOGA
The perfect accompaniment to baby and post-natal yoga classes, babies who have progressed through this class will find themselves ready and engaged for Active yoga classes, parents will also be keen to see their babies progress to the next level.
If your baby hasn't done yoga up until this point then don't worry as this doesn't restrict them in any way, they are now at a perfect developmental level to absorb and pick up quickly the movements, sequences and routines which Active Baby yoga will teach
Classes are suitable for crawling to 2 years of age
MONDAY - 1:00pm - 2:00pm
BABY & POSTNATAL YOGA
Baby yoga offers the protective space to bond with your baby, whilst safely and gently easing you back into fitness yourself post pregnancy, giving you the support to slowly start working on your pelvic floor and abdominal area.
Baby yoga is relaxing for both you and your baby, it helps maintain your baby’s natural suppleness and promotes normal development. It is also a great way to meet new mum's and make some really great friendships - not just for you but for your babies too.
Suitable post 6 weeks check-up until crawling
FRIDAY - 1:45pm - 2:45pm
BABY MASSAGE (starting Friday 3rd April 2020)
Baby massage is gentle, rhythmic stroking of your baby’s body with your hands, oil is used to help your hands glide smoothly over your baby’s skin. Gentle movements are also performed on your baby’s ankles, wrists and fingers to form part of the massage routine. You may recall instinctively making those stroking movement over your bump during pregnancy!
Massage has many added benefits for your baby, including improving weight gain, aiding digestion, improving circulation, reducing constipation and colic, and easing teething pain. Babies are especially responsive to reflexology. As a mother you may have already noticed that you instinctively rub your baby's feet and hands when they are agitated, crying, or uncomfortable.
In addition, massage is a great way for you and your partner to bond with your baby, and you may find it relaxing, too!
