Yoga at Poringland Community Centre is based on classic Hatha yoga, an ancient system of self development which works holistically on the mind, body and spirit. Yoga makes you feel good - both happier and healthier. It is beneficial for relieving stress, and keeping joints and muscles healthy, however yoga also tones the circulation, the digestive and nervous systems as well, keeping them in tip top condition.
Classes consist of warm up stretches, followed by yoga posture work, breathing practices and finish up with a rejuvenating relaxation. Unlike other types of exercise Yoga is practiced mindfully with total focus which gives your mind a well deserved rest too. Classes are mixed ability and suit those who have some experience best.
